Delmar-Bethlehem EMS (Delmar Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc.) is excited to announce that it is accepting applications for an open Board of Directors seat. Our organization is a community-based 501(c)3 that provides ambulance service to Town of Bethlehem and area residents over 3,300 times a year. Volunteers donate over 15,000 hours of community service to the organization a year as EMTs, ambulance drivers and community leaders.
The current board is a diverse group of community leaders from various backgrounds including physicians, business leaders, EMS providers, healthcare policy experts and technologists. The ideal candidate is an area professional who brings a complement of expertise and business acumen to this already diverse board. Prior emergency services experience is not required, however all candidates must be either be a resident of or employed within the Town of Bethlehem Ambulance taxing district. Candidates must make a commitment to attend board meetings (approximately monthly) and participate in other board activities, such as committees and projects.
